"This would be the best excursion for a non-swimmer. The family that own and run it are very nice."

"The Restless Native catamaran snorkel tour was excellent. On the way out they give a nice talk on the fish and corals you'll see, they have hot chocolate chip cookies and drinks, then they anchor in about 3 feet of water in a small bay where you can snorkel or swim. My wife and our friend don't swim or snorkel but they still went into the water and lounged with floats. On the way back they serve delicious rum swizzles! All in all, 5 stars out of 5 stars!"

"I was on Restless Native a couple of weeks ago. It was GREAT! When they stop for the snorkeling portion of the tour it is just a matter of feet from the shoreline at a calm cove. You walk down a ladder into water about waist-deep, and can either continue to walk right to the shore, swim and snorkel in the shallow water, or follow a guide into the deeper water for more extensive snorkeling over reefs and into caves! The tour staff was very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. We learned a lot of Bermuda history as well as a bit of marine biology of the undersea life in that region. They also served hot, homemade chocolate-chip cookies that were cooked right onboard the catamaran and rum swizzles, lemonade and water. There were small children on the excursion with us and even they got off the catamaran and splashed around in the water! You will have either a "noodle" to swim with or a life vest (or both if desired). No swimming was actually required even to do the snorkeling. It was more like orchestrated floating! The water was beautiful the day we were there. It was a great excursion. When we first boarded the catamaran I thought it was going to be too crowded, but once everyone was on board and had spread out between the cabin and the hammock area on the front, there was plenty of room. Also, even being out on the hammocks, there was occasional shade from the sails and the breeze was lovely, so it wasn't uncomfortably hot. Those of us out on the front of the catamaran were served everything we needed right from our spots! Never any need to get up and walk inside! It was a lot of fun and the folks running the tour were just sensational! Very knowledgeable about Bermuda in general and about marine life in the area. It was really a nice tour and I highly recommend it."

"Let me tell you, in 10 cruises the Restless Native was probably one of the best tours we have ever taken. The catamaran met us right at the pier where the Explorer docks in King's Wharf. The crew consisted of the captain, his brother, the cookie baker and one of the best guides we have had the pleasure of knowing. They were all absolutely wonderful. We had delicious chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies on our sail across the bay to a secluded cove, which was ideal for snorkeling. On the ride over the guide had picture cards with the fish we were likely to see on the reef. Not only did she tells us the names of the fish but their feeding and mating habits and what role they played in the ecosystem. She was extremely knowledgeable about the island and went into great detail about the government and some of their policies, which made for a very interesting and informative ride. When we arrived at the reef we were in a secluded cove with a little beach that had a ton of beach glass and pristine waters. The snorkel gear is all provided and is part of the tour, no extra charge. They lowered a set of stairs underneath the boat, which dropped you off into waist deep waters. There was beautiful soft sand under your feet so you could get acclimatized to the water and your surroundings. It was just a short swim to one of the most beautiful and bountiful reefs I have ever snorkeled at. The fish literally numbered in the thousands. The guide swam right along with us with a "flag" on her mask to easily spot her and pointed out any fish that she had not discussed. We had about 1 1/2 hours to explore the reefs and I even had time to collect beach glass. On the way back they served Rum Swizzles (yummy) and more cookies. They also had a cute little store on board with nice shell necklaces and other local items. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit Bermuda. It was worth every penny."
